Identifying trends and patterns paves the way for precise turf management and maintaining top playing conditions for golfers. That kind of analysis can be challenging to do manually based on irregular data-collection and limited sampling areas. Some patterns are not even visible to the naked eye and hard to catch with onsite observations.

That’s why, it’s critical to have access to continuous data on the entire course, which is filling the blanks and allowing you to have a full picture of the turf condition in real time. SKIM monitors the golf course and provides 50,000 data points in average per week for an 18 hole golf course. That allows to detect dynamics in vegetation indices and fluctuations of nutrients or soil moisture levels.

The goal is to build a precise database to check the evolution of the turf condition over time and highlight patterns. Within the application you are able to compare images and review historical data to check if the situation is recurring or if it is happening periodically.
